“It was the best day of our week in Catania. The local pick up was most welcome so we didn't have the public transport to deal with. Our guide Giannni was on time, considerate and very knowledgeable. Lunch was good, including hot drink and water. Etna and the Gorge were awe inspiring features which we enjoyed immensely.”

He starts in the market and discusses local produce and recent changes in crops due to climate concerns and then talks about how to spot fresh fish. We then picked up meat at the butcher's and headed to his house to cook and eat. He loves to talk and has a lot of valuable things to say! The hours flew by as we were very busy and then we got to eat some delicious dishes that we prepared. He is an authentic Siciliano and was extremely welcoming and energetic and appears to love what he does.…”

“Enjoyed this tour to see the Mt. Etna volcano craters. It is a unique experience to see the "moonscape" that the lava creates. It is quite a long day, with a bus ride, a cable car ride, another unimog bus, then a final 20 minute walk. Our SAT guide Marco was very friendly and gave us good information. The Etna guides who walk you to the top were not quite as helpful, but that is how the system works.”
